The Jharkhand HC, alarmed by the death of the judge, had suo motu taken cognisance of the episode and has been monitoring progress of investigations. The CJI stepped in on Friday to ensure security of judges. The court also sought a progress report into investigations into the death of additional judge Uttam Anand.
