The bill, which removes the three farm laws, was moved for consideration and passage in the Lok Sabha by agriculture minister Narendra Singh Tomar. Toeing the line taken by PM Modi on November 19 when he announced that the laws would be repealed, Tomar said though the farm laws would benefit farmers.
