The decision was taken during the 45th session of the World Heritage Committee currently underway in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The beautiful 13th century temples of the Hoysala dynasty in Karnataka, have been inscribed on the World Heritage list of UNESCO, taking the total number of such sites in India to 42, the Archaeological Survey of India said after UNESCO announced its inclusion.
